First day of school

Summer ended much too fast for our taste . . the inevitable happened August 8th (one of our favorite days!) We spent the weekend in Ellijay tubing on the river with the Bolands and having late night games of Boom-o. Monday looked like this:

Turning 10 on the first day of school

She was not happy about this, but made it through! Presents before school started helped!!

It is hard to believe we've had her for a decade. She is becoming such a wonderful girl and I'm so grateful she is mine! Love you Savannah!

Roller Girl

She is following in my footsteps. My dad can vouch for this post. I spent hundreds of hours circling the driveway or cruising the basement on my skates.

Cupcakes

I was drooling over the cupcakes at The Cafe in The Hotel all week and when we got home we bee lined it for the cupcake place in Peachtree City for these:

Vegas

Richard attended Cisco Live this year in Las Vegas, so Grammin and Pa watched our kids for a whole week while I tagged along with Richard.

and we got a week here:

and got to spend time with my family!

we ended the great week with wrestling Uncle Richard style with the neices and nephew -

Tetherball

We finally got our tetherball set up after Grandpa & Grandma Spiers donated a tire to the cause. Richard set it up and called me out to find the kids playing with the Napoleon Dynamite music playing in the background. We got a kick out of watching that. Here is the boys enjoying a game. Porter loves hitting with his sisters and has mastered the "duck" when the ball is coming at you hard.
