Soft Hearts or Sore Butts

For FHE this week we had a lesson on the story of the Liahona in the Book of Mormon. I chose it because the fighting/meanness has really picked up at our house. It seems the girls really have gotten good at making snide remarks to eachother and I have had it. I related that the Liahona would not work for Lehi and his family unless they were being righteous and that in our house we cannot have the spirit if everyone has hard hearts and trying to be mean or cause contentions. I told them that soft hearts want to talk nicely and forgive and be forgiven. Just last night, as we were pulling out of the pool one of the girls went to say something mean and the other one said "Soft Heart"! Without skipping a beat Richard said, "Or sore butts!" I think if I were to ever put up vinyl words in my house it would say just that!
