A Night at Turner Field

Savannah's school chorus got chosen to sing the National Anthem for the Brave's game last night. I was so excited to go out to a ball game and see my baby sing. Porter talked about it for days. He walked around with his bat, ball and glove 24/7 and talked about playing baseball. Sometimes there were dinosaurs involved and sometimes his friend Reese was on his team. We had to get Savannah with her group early so I didn't factor in how waiting around for several hours detracted from the fun. It was so much fun to see her group so excited and walk out on the field together. I asked Savannah if she got nervous after seeing how many people were there and she said she thought there would be more. Getting her where she needed to be and our family seated and then running back down to see where she was walking out so I could pick her up and then running back up to our seats to record it, getting turned around and walking to the whole other side and then back down to pick her up, in flip-flops, nearly wore blisters on my feet. Porter would not stop climbing over everything and by the time the game started he was asking to go home. But we made it to the 6th inning and having a game under our belts, could probably do things a little better next time. I got a kick out of Porter clapping along with all the things they do to get the crowd going. Savannah was up dancing away trying to get on the jumbotron. Cardyn found her friend Macy and ended up sitting and riding home with them. I am proud of you Savannah and glad you got the chance to do this!
